　　12日晚，侵华日军第七三一部队(简称“731部队”)“少年队”原队员清水英男，乘机抵达哈尔滨。8月13日上午，清水英男一行来到位于哈尔滨市平房区的侵华日军第731部队罪证陈列馆进行指认谢罪。

　　Hideo Shimizu, a former member of Unit 731, the notorious Japanese germ-warfare detachment during World War II, arrived by plane in the city of Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Monday evening, expecting to testify and expose the crimes committed by the unit during the Japanese invasion of China during the war.

　　清水英男今年94岁。1945年3月，他作为日本派往中国哈尔滨的最后一批“少年队”队员，到731部队度过4个多月时间。这里曾是二战期间日本策划、组织和实施细菌战的大本营。1945年8月14日，他随日本部队逃离回国。

　　Shimizu, 94, was among the last batch of Unit 731 Youth Corps members sent by Japan to Harbin, China, where he spent more than four months witnessing the war crimes committed by the unit, including the cultivation of pathogens, human dissections and human experiments. He fled China with the retreating Japanese forces on August 14, 1945.

　　在哈尔滨期间，清水英男曾目睹731部队的野蛮行径，包括培养病原菌、进行活体解剖、实施人体实验等。这些场景给他留下巨大心理阴影，他也一直感到自己罪恶深重。

　　The extreme cruelty and horrors left indelible memories on the ex-serviceman after he spent four months in the unit.

　　2016年，清水公布自己曾是731部队“少年队”队员的身份，此后一直致力于揭露731部队的罪行，向公众讲述历史真相。

　　In 2016, Shimizu revealed his identity as a former Unit 731 member and began to expose the atrocities of the Japanese Imperial Army through public speeches and interviews, aiming to tell historical truths.

　　清水拿出自己在731部队“少年队”的合影，指着最后一排的四人说：“我们四个是长野同一所学校的同班同学。一起加入731少年兵第四期，也是最后一期。这张照片就是同学从中国撤离时悄悄带回来的。”

　　"This teenager was me," said Shimizu, pointing at a black-and-white group photo that features the Unit 731 Youth Corps members and their instructors.

　　说着，清水又拿出《731部队留守名簿》，上面也有他的姓名。这还不够，清水又拿出三张印有“满洲中央银行”的老旧纸币，“这是部队当时给我们兑换的纸币，能在哈尔滨市内使用，这是我唯一放在衣兜带回来的东西”。

　　在哈尔滨4个多月的经历成为清水一生的梦魇。他曾在731部队的标本室里亲眼见过胎儿、婴儿、幼儿的标本。清水告诉记者，从他的第一个孩子出生起，“每当夜里听到孩子的哭声，我脑子里就会闪现731部队标本室的画面，仿佛那些逝去的孩子在哭泣”。提到标本室，清水的眼眶又一下子湿润了。

　　He recalled that the instructor took him to the specimen room on the second floor of the headquarters after he said he wanted to be a surgeon. "Only me and nobody else," the old man recalled and then lapsed into silence again.

　　他们把抓来的活人称为“马路大”。“马路大”日语本意是原木、木材材料。资料显示，这些被抓来用作活体实验的人既有中国的抗日战士，也有普通的百姓，包括妇女和儿童，还有被抓的朝鲜、苏联、美国俘虏。

　　From 1946 to November 1948, during the Tokyo Trial, the United States and Japan reached a secret deal, in which the United States obtained data on human experiments, bacteria experiments, germ warfare and gas experiments conducted by Unit 731 on the condition that the unit members were exempted from their war responsibilities. As a result, the Japanese germ war criminals escaped the Tokyo Trial.

　　“侵华战争已经结束79年，绝大部分老兵已经过世，清水英男是目前唯一在世、愿意公开揭露日本细菌部队罪恶的731部队成员，也很有可能是最后一个回到哈尔滨的原队员。”侵华日军第七三一部队罪证陈列馆馆长金成民说。

　　"The war ended 79 years ago, and most members of Unit 731 have passed away. Shimizu is currently the only surviving member who is willing to expose the Unit's crimes publicly, and he is likely to be the last Unit 731 member to return to Harbin," said Jin Chengmin, curator of the exhibition hall.

　　“虽然有日本社会舆论反对，我身体也不大好，但即便如此，我也想抛开一切顾虑，就想去中国。”10日，在启程前，老人在长野县的家中，讲述决意赴华谢罪的心境。“这是我战后第一次出国，也是第一次返回中国。”清水说，“与其担心到中国后中国人会对我怎么样，我倒觉得那些日本政界人士恐怕巴不得我死吧。”

　　“事实就是事实，应该正确地去接受!不再进行战争才是最该汲取的深刻教训!”清水说。想到当下，他对近年来不断强化军事实力的日本深感担忧。

　　12日，从大阪关西国际机场出发，清水老人经上海飞往哈尔滨，总计将近8小时。望着清水走进安检通道的背影，他的话语又在记者耳畔回响：“我想去中国说出我的证言，这是为了和平。”

　　“正视历史，祈愿和平”，这是日本侵华战争结束79年后，一位日本的战争亲历者发出的最恳切心声。
