　　近日，随着北京大学工学院副教授李植有关进出北大校门的文章在网络社交媒体上广为流传，“大学校园该不该开放”这一话题再度成为社会舆论焦点。

　　The debate on whether to reopen university campuses to the public has resurfaced after a teacher of Peking University criticized the authorities concerned for making him "hurdle" over the checkpoint at the entry gate to the campus.

　　高校老师图方便“跨栏”进北大

　　根据李植发表的文章，北京大学现在进出校门要刷脸，但是他没有授权学校使用他的人脸识别信息，刷不了脸，进出学校需要门卫查验工作证后放行。因为查验工作证经常需要耗时十几秒时间，他往往直接跨过闸机栏杆就进去了，门卫大都认识他，一般不会拦截。

　　Li Zhi, an associate professor of the university's department of mechanics and engineering science, said in a post at knowledge-sharing platform Zhihu that he was chased by a PKU security guard after he vaulted over the checkpoint to dodge a facial recognition device, because he did not want the university to have access to his biometric data.

　　但是最近一天入校时，保安在校园里追了他半天，跑步没追上又骑了自行车来追。最后以李植向保安出示工作证结束。而在出校时，又被门卫拦住要求刷脸，否则不能出校，最后他又是跨栏出校。

　　根据李植在文章中的说法，北大校园出入要查证件始于2008年。在此之前，北大是可以随意进出的。他在文章中认为，“北大的这种门卫管理制度给师生造成了很大不便，上下班高峰时，北大东门的闸机前常常排起长队。门口执勤的保安都很辛苦，但是这种严防死守的模式不适用于大学，我们真正希望看到的保安应当更关注校内公共场所，而不是站在门口。尤其是连出门也要管，毫无必要”。

　　Noting that people had free and unhindered access to the PKU campus before 2008, Li said the facial recognition devices cause great inconveniences for both teachers and students, and should be removed.

　　据北京大学工学院网站提供的信息介绍，李植目前是北京大学工学院力学与工程科学系副教授，并担任流体力学学科点副主任。李植的本硕博都在莫斯科大学数学力学系就读，1999年9月进入北京大学力学与工程科学系，历任讲师、副教授。

　　高校校门，该敞开吗?

　　澎湃新闻记者注意到，自今年7月以来，北京大学、清华大学、南京大学、武汉大学、华中科技大学等多所高校陆续打开大门，近4年后首次恢复校园参观预约通道。其中，北京大学等高校没有明确规定对外开放截止日期，而清华大学等高校则明确了固定的校园对外开放参观时间段，且每天开放4000个预约名额，约满即止。

　　Several reputable academic institutions, such as PKU, Tsinghua University and Wuhan University, have already partially reopened their campuses, after closing them due to COVID-19, allowing the public to now book tickets for entry. Up to 4,000 people are allowed to visit Tsinghua University each day.

　　不过需要注意的是，这里的“打开校门”主要是指开放参观通道。

　　有人认为大学是属于社会的，历来就是开放的;也有人以安全、管理为由，认为校园应该进行封闭管理。

　　21世纪教育研究院院长熊丙奇则表示，公办高校的资源属于全社会，理应向社会开放，让社会公众共享公共教育资源。但高校的首要任务是办学，培养人才。校园开放的前提是不影响学校的教学秩序。为此，高校是否向社会开放、怎么开放，应充分听取全校师生和社区居民的意见，作出科学、民主决策。

　　Xiong Bingqi, director of the 21st Century Education Research Institute, said there should not be a uniform rule on reopening university campuses to the public.

　　If the universities are in crowded downtown areas, certain restrictions should be imposed to ensure better visitor management on the campuses, and if they are in the suburbs and have large open spaces, the public can be given free access to the universities' resources, Xiong said.

　　北大：正有序推进校园开放

　　12月21日，澎湃新闻从北大了解到，北大正在持续推进校园有序开放，并探索面向全国开展体现首都特色、北大精神的研学游“大思政课”。为加强研学游服务保障，提高游客参观体验，北大将增加预约入校游览时间，接待游客入校时间每日上、下午各提前一小时，离校时限每日上、下午各延后一小时，最大限度满足社会人员入校需求。

　　In response, Peking University said it is working on a new system that will allow visitors to enter its campus in a variety of ways. The new system is expected to be in place next year, the Beijing Daily reported on Thursday.

　　The university suggested that it will also be more flexible in its approach to visitor requests. For example, it will consider requests for group tours and special events. Currently, visitors are required to make an appointment seven days in advance through an app. And appointments are only available during holidays and weekends.

　　It is working to meet the needs of visitors during the winter holiday season. This includes increasing the number of visitors allowed on campus. The university also said it will provide training for its security guards on how to provide better service to visitors.

　　具体来说，在入校方面，北大将优化进出通道。包括：优化东侧门专用入校通道，校外远端设置“初步核验岗”主动预检，分隔已预约人员和咨询人员，利用链柱设定“排队等候区”“人工核验区”;盘活校内空闲区域设置安检区，提升通行效率。团体入校采取“整车放行、校内核验、人员抽检、专人接待”的原则入校;设置东侧门停车场为落客核验区域，实现“顺向可通行、落客即驶离”效果，同时落实总量控制，防范校门拥堵。

　　同时，北大将增加游览时间。此前的7月份，北大发布公告称，2023年7月8日，北大恢复校园预约参观通道。一般情况下，寒暑假、法定节假日及双休日期间，开放校园参观。每日可预约时段为：09:00-11:00、14:00-16:00，且需于当日19:00前离校。此次，北大表示，为提高游客参观体验，将接待游客入校时间每日上、下午各提前一小时，离校时限每日上、下午各延后一小时。
