剑桥KET语法：指示代词

　　表示“这个、那个、这些、那些”指向性的代词为指示代词，常见的指示代词有：this、that、these、those。它们的区别在于：

　　this、these指在时间或空间上离说话人较近的人或物； that、those 指在时间或空间上离说话人较远的人或物； this、that指代的是单数名词或不可数名词； these、those指代的是复数名词。

　　指示代词的用法有以下几种情况：

　　1、作主语和其他成分

　　指示代词作主语，既可指人，也可指物，但作其他成分时，只能指物，不能指人。

　　This is a big apple.

　　这是一个大苹果。 ( 注 ：this 用作主语，指物)

　　This is our English teacher.

　　这是我们的英语老师。(注： this 用作主语，指人)

　　She is going to marry this. (×)

　　She is going to marry this man.(√)

　　她准备和这个男人结婚。(注： this作宾语时，不能指人)

　　2、指代前面的名词

　　为了避免重复，that 和 those 在句中常用来代替前面的名词或名词词组。

　　The weather in summer in Wuhan is hotter than that in Beijing.

　　武汉夏天的天气比北京热。(注：这句话中的 that 代替前面提到的 The weather in summer)

　　3、指代上下文中的 一 句话

　　this 和 that 有时用来代替上文和下文中的一句话或情况。

　　That is why I think health is important to us.

　　这就是为什么我认为健康对我们很重要。(注： that 表示上文中对健康重要性的阐述)

　　4、this 指代即将提到的事物

　　This is my number:56777851.

　　这是我的电话号码：56777851。
