　　bed是床，但是change the bed可不是换一张床，而是很多爱干净的人经常要做的事，你猜到是什么意思了吗?

　　sheet 床单;被单bedclothes 床上用品;寝具;铺盖

　　外国人多用sheet来表示床单，change the sheet是换床单的意思，bed虽然是"床"的意思，但是在change the bed中表达的意思和换床无关，而是换床单。

　　My mother changes our sheets and pillow cases every week.我妈妈每周都会换床单和枕套。

　　fold up a quilt 叠被子

　　例句：His three-year-old daughter wetted the bed again.他三岁的女儿又尿床了。

　　a bed of roses在国外是很常见的表达。如果遇到挫折的时候，你的外国朋友对你说Life is not a bed of roses，你千万别以为他说的是生活不像是一床玫瑰，他其实是在安慰你生活不总是一帆风顺。

　　例句：Love is not always a bed of roses. 爱情不会一直尽如人意的。

　　A bed of nails 艰难的情况

　　A bed of nails 极其艰难的情况

　　nail是钉子的意思，a bed of nails的字面意思是满床都是钉子，我们可以理解为满床都是钉子，那处境肯定很困难了。

　　例句：Their life are a bed of nails since they lost their jobs.他们两个人都失业后，生活变得很艰难了。

　　当然，当bed表示“床”的意思时，有一些词组必然会涉及到“床上那些事”，例如“滚床单”就有以下的表达方式：

　　To get someone into bed means to persuade them to have sex with you.

　　To go to bed with someone means to have sex with them.

　　If you say that someone is in bed with someone else, you mean that they are having sex in bed.
