Spanish

The importance of Spanish as a language of business has been increasing in the last few decades, due in large part to the constant economic growth Latin American countries have been experiencing –many of these countries have taken huge leaps forward in terms of their international economic positions.

French

French is an important language for international business. The French economy is the sixth-largest in the world. It’s the third-largest economy in Europe. French is also an official language for some of the most dynamic emerging economies in Africa.

Portuguese

China became Brazil's largest trading partner in 2009. Chinese investment in Brazil takes strategic approaches and does so in strategic areas to consolidate China’s role in the Brazilian economy, this creates economic leverage, expands the zone of influence of Chinese companies in Brazil and increases interdependence.

Russian

China has been working on a new transport corridor to Europe as part of the Belt and Road Initiative, which goes through Russia to Europe. Beijing is investing in a high-speed railway to connect to Moscow.

Arabic

There is a high demand and low supply of Arabic-speakers. With the growing importance of the Middle East in international affairs, there is thus an extreme shortage of workers who are versed in Arabic language and culture.
