　　我摇摇头，伸出 5根手指表示我只愿出 5镑钱。

　　语言点1:句子结构分析:indicating为现在分词，作伴随状语，说明“伸出手指”的意思是that引导的宾语从句的内容。

　　语言点2:shake one's head的意思是“摇头”。

　　17. Gesticulating wildly, the man acted as if he found my offer outrageous, but heeventually reduced the price to ￡10.

　　那人激动地打着手势，仿佛我的出价使他不能容忍。但他终于把价钱降到了10英镑。

　　语言点:句子结构分析:gesticulating wildly是现在分词短语，在句中充当伴随状语。as if引导方式状语从句。

　　18. Shrugging my shoulders, I began to walk away when, a moment later, he ran afterme and thrust the pen into my hands.

　　我耸耸肩膀掉头走开了。一会儿，他突然从后追了上来，把笔塞到我手里。

　　语言点:句子结构分析:shrugging my shoulders为现在分词短语，作方式状语，表示“以耸肩膀的方式”走开。When引导时间状语从句，交代“我”走开时发生的事情。a moment later作插入语。
