So long as there is something to identify, we will give people their money back.

只要以后东西可识别， 我们就会把钱还给人们。


1）so long as （或as long as） 在这里引导条件状语从句， 表示相对宽松的语气。例：

So long as you can prove you are right, you can stick to it.

只要你能证明自己是对的， 就可以坚持。

As long as you can make yourself understood in English, don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

只要别人能懂得你的英语， 就不要怕犯错。


2）provided/providing 也可引导条件状语从句， 但含义和if有所不同： 前者表示的条件是说话者希望出现的结果， 而后者则无此限制。例：

Provided your offer is satisfactory, we’ll sign the contract with your company.

如果出价合理， 我们将和贵公司签订合同。 （可用if替代）

We shall cancel the contract if you fail to comply with the provisions.

如果贵方违反条款， 我们将取消合同。 （if 不可用provided/providing替代）


联想记忆： 一些特殊的条件表达法


1. 祈使句+and...= if 从句＋主句。例：

Give it a try and you will know whether it is feasible.

If you give it a try, you will know whether it is feasible.

尝试一下， 你才会知道是否可行。

A few more things of this and I will give up.

If there are a few more things of this, I will give up.

这种事再多点， 我就要放弃了。


2. 祈使句＋or/or else= unless 从句＋主句。例：

Get round to it or you will lose the golden opportunity.

Unless you get round to it, you will lose the golden opportunity.

抓紧点时间， 否则你会错过这个难得的机会的。
