　　1.You really must pull your socks up if you want to pass the final exams.你要是想通过期末考试，就得加把劲。

　　pull one’s socks up 本意是“穿上袜子”，引申为“振作起来;加油干”。

　　例：He’ll lose his job unless he pulls his socks up.除非他加把劲，否则就会失业。

　　2.-I’m eager to enroll in a first-class university.我渴望去一所一流的大学学习。

　　-Then set your sights on it and stick to it.那就下定决心、坚持下去。
