剑桥KET语法：形容词和副词

　　形容词通常用来修饰名词，副词则用来修饰动词、形容词或者整个句子，说明时间、地点、程度、方式等概念。在意义上，副词可以用来说明事情发生的时间、地点、程度，人的行为方式，说话者的态度、观点等。副词具有明显的修饰和强调功能。

　　1、形容词和副词的区别

　　形容词描述名词，副词描述动词的动作。大多数副词都是在形容词的基础上直接加-ly 构成，这些副词主要用来描述“如何”“怎样”,如：badly、warmly等。

　　She is a careful driver.

　　她是一个小心谨慎的司机。 ( 注：careful修饰 driver)

　　She drives carefully.

　　她开车很小心。(注：carefully 修饰 drives)

　　2、与形容词同形

　　在英语中有很多副词和形容词是同形的，如：

　　fast:adj.快的 adv.快 long:adj.长的 adv.长时间地

　　early:adj.早的 adv.早 high:adj.高的 adv. 高地

　　She is a fast driver.

　　她是一个开车很快的司机。 ( 注：fast作为形容词，修饰 driver)

　　She drives fast.

　　她开车很快。 ( 注 ：fast作为副词，修饰 drives)

　　3、其他情况

　　有些副词在加完-ly之后会构成另外的副词，这两种形式的副词意义既有联系又有区别， 如：

　　hard 努力地 hardly几乎不

　　near 接近地 nearly 几乎

　　deep 深入地 deeply 深深地

　　close 靠近地 closely 密切地

　　most 大多数地 mostly 大部分地

　　high 高地 highly 高度地

　　late 迟，晚 lately 最近
